Hi New Albany Families! It is an honor to serve as the Assistant Principal at New Albany School, a place which has always held a special place in my heart. I once attended New Albany School as a student and was thrilled to begin my teaching career here as well upon graduation from college.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from The College of New Jersey in 2005 and was offered a job as a First Grade teacher in Cinnaminson. During my first year of teaching, I began taking graduate courses and earned my Master’s degree in Instructional Strategies from The College of New Jersey in 2008. I continued my education at Delaware Valley University with a concentration in School Leadership, earning my Principal and Supervisor’s certificates in 2013. To gain additional classroom experience, I also taught Transitional First Grade for 8 years and STEM for 4 years, all at New Albany School. In 2023, I served as the Interim Assistant Principal at New Albany School.
Being an educator has always been a passion of mine. When I was in Third Grade, we wrote about what we wanted to be when we grew up. Even at such a young age, I knew I wanted to be a First Grade teacher! While attending Cinnaminson High School, I was the first member of the Future Educators of America, spending two periods a day at Rush School working with students. My passion and drive to create nurturing and enriching environments where every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential has always been my focus.
Outside of school, I enjoy watching or coaching my daughters’ sports, going to the beach, traveling to new places, and spending time with family and friends. I love going on adventures and making memories with my husband and two daughters.
I am excited to be a part of your child’s first educational experience and look forward to working closely to make each year a happy one, full of social, emotional and academic growth!
