New Albany School Nurse Information - Mrs. Kate Ormsby
Hello New Albany Elementary School Family!
My name is Kate Ormsby and I am very excited to begin my school nursing career in the Cinnaminson School District. While I am new to school nursing, I am very familiar with nursing and education.
After graduating from Moravian College in 1998 with a B.S. in Biology, I began my career in education as a teacher and varsity girls soccer coach at Gloucester Catholic High School. In 2006, I returned to the classroom to begin my journey as a registered nurse at Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing. I have worked as an Emergency Department nurse at Our Lady of Lourdes, Camden, since 2008. The flexibility of nursing has allowed me to continue to follow my love for coaching, both at Gloucester Catholic High School and most recently at Maple Shade High School. My new role at New Albany Elementary School will allow me to continue to work in my two passions . . . nursing and education.
While soccer has my heart, I love ALL sports. I am fortunate that my children inherited the same love for sports. My husband and I are the proud parents of 7 children, each with their own passions and personalities. Our weekends are usually spent on the sidelines watching soccer, lacrosse, football, basketball, wrestling, baseball and track. If I am not at a sporting event, I enjoy running and am currently trying to tackle 50 half marathons in 50 states.
I am excited to start my school nursing journey alongside your children as they navigate their journey through elementary school. Their health and safety will always be my top priority. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
